CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite original research papers and project reports from academia and industry that address any of the above mentioned aspects of Semantic Web technology in business applications.

The topics of interest include but are not limited to:

• Best practices and use cases of semantic technology in enterprise applications, e.g.,

• Business Process Management (BPM)
• Business Intelligence (BI)
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
• Decision Support Systems
• Ontology-based content integration tasks in business and public sector applications (catalog data integration, spend analysis); and
• Enterprise Application Integration (EAI).

• Methods to assess the costs and business value of semantic technology, in particular

• Methods to monitor the costs associated with the development and usage of ontologies
• Methods to estimate the total costs of ontology ownership; and
• Methods that help e quantify the business value, in the sense of operational and strategic benefits, of ontology-based systems in organizations.

• Methods for evaluating ontologies and monitoring ontology development on a technical level, e.g.

• Metrics to evaluate and compare existing ontologies, ontology engineering methodologies, and tools in terms of technical quality and organizational fit
• Metrics to determine the usability of a particular ontology in a specific business scenario
• Methods to measure the interdependencies among ontologies and organizational processes; and
• Quality frameworks for ontologies, ontology engineering methodologies, methods and tools.

Especially welcome will be papers that integrate the various aspects of the enumerated problems.
