STI Berlin PhD Workshop
From 2002 until the end of 2007 the Semantic Web Postgraduate-Network Berlin-Brandenburg met at the Freie Universiät Berlin for informal exchange between postgraduates of the region's colleges with an emphasis on or interest in Semantic Web technologies. From autumn 2008 this network will be revived by STI Berlin with a new focus.
The STI Berlin PhD Network addresses postgraduates from all over Germany. The thematic focus of the PhD project should lie in the area of Semantic Web technologies. Additionally, interdisciplinary topics that cope with networked information systems and knowledge representation are welcome.
There are four meetings a year planned, where the first three are supposed to be qualification events and aim at the promotion of the attendee's PhD projects through short lectures and discussions. It is also a place to practice the defence of ones doctoral thesis. A PhD Workshop with CfP and Online Proceedings will complete the annual meetings.
